Grievous bodily harm charges at Gatton

Detectives have charged two men after a 26-year-old man was allegedly assaulted in Gatton on Sunday, September 3.

It will be alleged around 11pm, the man was at a Railway Road venue before he was assaulted, causing him to fall to the ground.

Upon arrival, emergency services located the man unconscious with serious head wounds.

He was airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.

Following investigations, Detectives from the Gatton Criminal Investigation Branch have arrested and charged two men in relation to the incident.

A 35-year-old Gatton man has been charged with one count each of grievous bodily harm and common assault.

A 49-year-old Gatton man has been charged with two counts of common assault and one count each of grievous bodily harm and assault occasioning bodily harm.

Both were refused police bail and are due to face Toowoomba Magistrates Court tomorrow, September 5.
