Head-on crash leaves man seriously injured at Bomaderry, NSW

A young driver has been seriously injured after a head-on crash on the South Coast yesterday.

Around 8.20pm (Friday 28 February 2020), emergency services were called to the intersection of Moss Vale Road and Bells Lane in Bomaderry, when a Hyundai hatch and a Mazda sedan collided head-on.

The 17-year-old youth driving the Hyundai suffered serious head and chest injuries. He was treated at the scene before being taken to Shoalhaven Hospital where he was airlifted to St George Hospital for surgery.

The driver of the Mazda, a 39-year-old woman, was taken to Shoalhaven District Hospital with leg injuries. Two girls, aged six and eight, were not injured but were taken to Shoalhaven District Hospital to be checked as a precaution.

Officers attached to South Coast Police District attended and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
