A house has been destroyed by fire at Ramsgate this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to Ramsgate Road about 5pm today (Sunday 11 October 2020), after neighbours reported smoke coming from the single-level house.
While firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze, officers from St George Police Area Command evacuated neighbouring houses as a precaution.
Two men, who lived in the home, have been taken to St George Hospital suffering the effects of smoke inhalation. They are reported to be stable.
The cause of the fire is unknown; investigators will wait until the site is declared safe before beginning to examine the scene.
