Police have released CCTV of a man they are hoping to identify following the theft of a car and a series of vehicle break-ins in the northern suburbs earlier this month.
Investigators believe a grey Nissan X-TRAIL was stolen from outside a home on Leamington St, Reservoir sometime overnight on 10 or 11 October.
It is believed the vehicle was then used by the unknown offender to travel through the Reservoir, Coburg North and Coburg Hill areas where a series of other car break-ins were reported.
The unoccupied car was recovered after it collided with a pole on Elizabeth St, Coburg North about 6.20am on 11 October.
Investigators have released CCTV of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquires.
