An upgrade to Railway Street Taree will start mid May, weather permitting.
Work will start on the intersection between Railway Street and High Street Taree and continue for 170 meters southward along Railway Street.
A road closure will be in place, with traffic directed around the road works. Access through the areas will be maintained for Emergency Vehicles.
“Road reconstruction will improve drainage and provide a smoother surface for road users,” said MidCoast Council’s Executive Manager Transport and Engineering, Peter Gesling.
Road users travelling in the vicinity of Railway Street and High Street, Taree should allow extra travel time for the duration of works.
These improvements will take approximately three months to complete, weather permitting.
