Information session for Coliban licence amendment

Environment Protection Authority Victoria (EPA) will hold a public information virtual meeting to provide the Kyneton community with an understanding of EPA’s assessment process for the anticipated Coliban Water licence amendment application for the Kyneton Water Reclamation Plant (WRP).

“EPA has been approached by Coliban Water that it intends to apply to amend the licence it holds for sewage treatment at the Kyneton WRP to better reflect the current operating environment,” said EPA Manager North West Region Dr Scott Pigdon.

“It’s important the community understand the process EPA will use to assess the application and how community members can comment on the application and be involved,” he said.

The EPA virtual meeting will outline the process EPA will go through in the assessment process of this application, including:

• How application information will be provided to interested community members

• How community concerns and comments can be provided to EPA for consideration in the assessment process.

• How EPA will consider any issues raised.

• The estimated timeframes for each stage of the assessment process
