Investigation into disappearance of Veronica Green continues

Detectives from Brimbank Crime Investigation Unit will search the yard of a western suburbs property today as they continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of Veronica Green.

Veronica, who would now be 82-years-old, has been missing for over 40-years and was 38-years-old at the time of her disappearance.

It is believed she was last seen the day before Valentine’s Day in 1976, on Friday 13 February.

Her disappearance left behind her two children aged 14 and seven at the time.

Over the year’s detectives have made a number of enquires and investigated several reported sightings but at this stage none have been confirmed.

The excavation of the backyard of a property, which will start today and is expected to take about five days, is being done under the Coroner’s authority.

A picture of Veronica has been released as below.

Investigators are still encouraging anyone who may have any information regarding the disappearance of Veronica to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or visit crimestoppersvic.com.au to make a report.
