An investigation is ongoing into a fire which partly destroyed Bowen Road Primary School yesterday.
Around 4.15pm, emergency services responded to reports of a fire within the school building.
On arrival, emergency services found a major structure fire in progress.
Crews from Tasmania Fire Service extinguished the fire, which was contained to the middle section of the building, which was completely destroyed.
A fire investigation is ongoing, however, initial investigations indicate the fire appears to be deliberately lit.
