Investigation underway following stabbing in Caringbah

Investigations are underway after a man was stabbed in Caringbah overnight.

Emergency services were called to a unit complex on Flide Street, shortly before 7.30pm (Thursday 17 January 2019), following reports of a stabbing.

On arrival, officers found a 43-year-old man with a wound to his head, and a 47-year-old man with a stab wound to his forearm.

The 43-year-old man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics, before being taken to St George Hospital. The 47-year-old man refused to receive medical treatment.

Both men are known to each other.

Officers from Sutherland Shire Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

An investigation into the incident is underway and police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

No arrests have been made at this time.
