Police have released CCTV images in an appeal for public assistance after a girl was allegedly indecently assaulted in a gaming arcade in Sydney’s CBD today.
About 2.10pm (Sunday 27 January 2019), an 11-year-old girl was in a gaming arcade in a shopping centre on Hay Street, Haymarket, when she was approached by an unknown man.
Police have been told he allegedly indecently assaulted the Padstow girl before she told family members who alerted police.
The man left the arcade.
Detectives from Sydney City Police Area Command are appealing for information and have released CCTV images of a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.
He is depicted as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his 40s, of medium build, with a shaved head and fair complexion.
He is shown wearing a black t-shirt, beige shorts, black shoes and socks, and carrying sunglasses.
Anyone with information, or anyone who knows the identity of the man, is urged to come forward.
