It’s a Summer of sport in City of Casey

From football to cricket, rugby and tennis, there’s no excuse to sit on the couch this summer.

The City of Casey has a suite of sporting activities happening throughout February and March and we would love to see our community head along.

City of Casey Mayor Cr Susan Serey remarked at how much we’ve got happening in Casey over the coming weeks, acknowledging how great it is that our facilities are so highly sought after.

“In Casey, we are lucky enough to boast some of the best sport and leisure facilities, meaning there are always opportunities for our residents to keep fit, healthy and active, and remain connected,” she said.

“I can’t wait to attend some of the exciting events happening across the city these next few months and encourage our residents to keep an eye on Council’s social media channelsto keep up to date with what’s happening locally.”

Council’s major partnership with the Melbourne Football Club means we have local footy games, kid’s clinics and family fun nights on the calendar.

To find out what’s coming up, including two AFLW matches at Casey Fields in February and March and, a huge family fun night at Bunjil Place, visit the City of Casey and MFC partnership page.

Keeping in theme with football, a huge festival of rugby league will be held at Casey Fields on Saturday 29 February, culminating in the Melbourne Storm’s final pre-season game when they face the North Queensland Cowboys.

Tickets are selling fast, so make sure you join us at Casey Fields from 2.30 pm for what’s shaping up to be a HUGE day!
