JCSC virtual presentations on Log4j2 vulnerability

Australian Cyber Security Centre

On Friday 10 December 2021, the Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) issued a critical alert on a vulnerability in the Apache Log4j2 software library. Malicious cyber actors have used this vulnerability to target and compromise systems globally and in Australia. As of 15 December 2021, the ACSC has also published an advisory regarding mitigation and detection recommendations and noting that malicious online actors are scanning networks in attempts to locate vulnerable servers.

Australians are urged to act now to secure their computer systems against this critical software vulnerability and apply appropriate software patches and updates.

On Friday 17 December 2021, the ACSC’s Joint Cyber Security Centres (JCSCs) will facilitate a series of virtual awareness and advice sessions on the Log4j2 vulnerability. For organisations or individuals that would like to attend, please click on the appropriate link in the table below at the scheduled time to join the presentation.
