Justine Farrugia to become Melton’s newest councillor

Justine Farrugia will be City of Melton’s newest councillor after the VEC announced the results of the countback following Moira Deeming’s departure from Council.

Justine brings a passion for building safer and more family-friendly suburbs so everyone can enjoy a good life wherever they live, work and play in the City of Melton.

An extraordinary vacancy arose following the announcement in December 2022 of Moira Deeming’s election to the Victorian Parliament as a Member of the Legislative Council for Western Metropolitan Region.

Justine was declared the successful candidate on Monday 23 January 2023 following a countback conducted by the Victorian Electoral Commission.
