Homicide Squad detectives have charged a man in relation to the death of a woman after an incident in Kewdale on Monday 17 April 2023.
About 7:45pm, police were called to a residence in Knutsford Avenue, where a 35-year-old woman was located with serious injuries.
Police and St John WA personnel administered first aid to the woman before she was conveyed to Royal Perth Hospital, where she later died.
A 37-year-old man, who is known to the victim, was arrested in St James a short time after the alleged incident and has since been charged with Murder. He has been refused bail and is expected to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court tomorrow, Saturday 22 April 2023, via a bedside hearing in hospital.
The man has also been charged with ‘Attempted Aggravated Armed Robbery’, ‘Aggravated home burglary and commit’, and ‘Reckless Driving’ in relation to other incidents that are alleged to have occurred the same evening, and will appear in court at the same time on those charges.
