In consultation with the Premier, I have made the difficult decision to relinquish the role of Leader of the House of Assembly.
I haven’t made this decision lightly, nor have I made it quickly. For my own health and wellbeing it is the right time to step back from this important role.
The Attorney-General, the Honourable Elise Archer MP, will be Leader of Government Business in the House of Assembly from tomorrow.
I am grateful for the opportunities the role of Leader has afforded me. I know, as a former Speaker of the House, the Attorney will ensure the Government continues to deliver its strong legislative agenda.
