A leading senior constable from a specialist area has been charged with assault.
The charges are a result of an incident in a north-eastern suburb of Melbourne whilst off duty on 31 May 2021.
The 53-year-old man has been charged with threat to inflict serious injury and unlawful assault.
He has been bailed to appear at court at a later date.
