Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are on scene following a collision in Preston this afternoon.
It is understood a pedestrian was struck by a bus at the intersection of Tyler Street and Plenty Road about 2.30pm.
The male pedestrian was taken to hospital with critical injuries.
The bus driver stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries.
Plenty Road remains closed in both directions, which is expected to cause delays.
