Lighting Upgrade At Marrara Sporting Facility

NT Government

The Territory Labor Government continues to invest in our sporting infrastructure with the car park at the home of Darwin soccer and tennis to get improved lighting.

Sport and recreation plays an important part in bringing our communities together – with 120,000 people across the Territory participating each year.

A tender has been released to install lighting at the Marrara sporting facility car park, which is used by patrons visiting both Larrakia Park and the Darwin International Tennis Centre.

Works will include the removal of existing poles, improving the existing electrical infrastructure, conduits and wiring to allow for installation of new poles and lights.

The project will provide better lighting for the car park which can have up to 1000 patrons visiting both facilities at one time.

When work commences, patrons will be able to access parking at the Marrara Indoor Stadium.
