Family literacy programs have returned to Orange City Library as the school year gets underway.

Orange City Council’s Services Policy Committee Chair, Cr Mel McDonell said the library offered a range of free activities for parents and carers to enjoy with their babies and toddlers.

“These programs are a great way to give children a great start in life by helping develop language, literacy and numeracy skills from a young age,” Cr McDonell said.

Storytime is a one-hour session for preschool children and their carers to enjoy fun stories, songs, games and craft. Storytime is held at 11am from Tuesday to Thursday.
