Little Malop Central is now making music.
Permanent musical instruments have been installed in the pavement as part of continued improvement works at the site.
The fixed activations include bongo drums, a xylophone and acoustic play elements for children and families to enjoy.
Other recent upgrades at the space between Yarra and Moorabool streets include the installation of lighting, seating, planter boxes, 3D artwork and a stage.

The in-ground water feature has also been restored.
Still to come are large foam building blocks, which will be available for play during business hours.
The activation of Little Malop Central aims to increase the appeal of the street and encourage visitors to increase their stay in the city.
Council committed $315,000 to carry out the works, following a successful notice of motion from Councillor Eddy Kontelj in June 2019.
The program of improvements was formed in consultation with Victoria Police, community groups, traders and property owners.
