Man arrested and drugs seized as part of operation Brandish

Detectives from Caulfield Divisional Response Unit arrested a man as part of a significant investigation into drug trafficking in Melbourne’s inner south east.

This morning police executed warrants at two addresses in Ormond.

Police seized a quantity of cannabis, cannabinoids, cash and prescription drugs.

The man was arrested today after police seized quantities of MDMA, methylamphetamine, cocaine, cannabis, LSD and heroin as well as cash on the 22 December 2020 as part of Operation BRANDISH-2019.

The 39-year-old Ormand man has been charged with traffick and possession of cannabis, cocaine, heroin, LSD, MDMA, methylamphetamine and possess proceeds of crime.

He is expected to be presented before the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court this evening for a remand hearing.

This arrest forms part of an operation which has been running for over 12-months and targeting criminal networks believed to be trafficking primarily methylamphetamine in the inner south eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
