Man charged after allegedly performing a sexual act in Liverpool

A man has been charged after he allegedly performed a sexual act while on a bus in Sydney’s west yesterday.

About 2:40pm (Monday 7 January 2019), a 42-year-old woman boarded a bus at Sadlier, heading towards Liverpool.

A 46-year-old man bordered the bus a few stops later and sat opposite the woman

Police will allege the man touched himself inappropriately.

The woman got off at Liverpool and its alleged the man followed and approached her.

Staff at Liverpool Railway Station and police were notified.

Officers from the South/South West Police Transport Command located the 46-year-old man nearby and following a subsequent search, he was allegedly found in possession of a knife.

He was taken to Liverpool Police Station and charged with custody of a knife, carry out sexual act with another without consent, and behave in offensive manner in or on public passenger vehicle/train or public area.

The man from Bonnyrigg was refused bail to appear at Liverpool Local Court today (Tuesday 8 January 2019).
