Man charged over multiple sexual touching offences on the rail network

A man has been charged over multiple alleged sexual touching incidents on the rail network.

Between July and September 2026, officers from the Police Transport Command commenced investigations into several reports of alleged sexual touching, specifically on public transport at Town Hall, Strathfield and North Strathfield.

Following extensive inquiries, about 11.30am today (Wednesday 9 September 2026), detectives attended an address in North Strathfield and arrested a 34-year-old man.

He was taken to Burwood Police Station where he was charged with four counts of sexually touch another person without consent.

The man was refused bail to appear before Burwood Local Court tomorrow (Thursday 10 September 2026).
