A man will face court charged with 44 counts of malicious damage and graffiti offences allegedly committed in Sydney’s inner west over the last 15 months.
Detectives attached to Inner West Police Area Command commenced an investigation into multiple incidents of offensive graffiti identified across the Glebe and Newtown areas between March 2025 and June 2026.
Following extensive inquiries, about 10.30am today (Wednesday 24 June 2026), detectives attended a property on Sheehy Street, Glebe, where they arrested a 72-year-old man.
He was taken to Newtown Police Station where he was charged with 44 counts of destroy or damage property less than or equal to $2,000.
He was refused bail to appear before Newtown Local Court tomorrow (Thursday 25 June 2026).
