A man has died following a single-vehicle crash in the state’s north yesterday.
About 7pm yesterday (Tuesday 29 January 2025), emergency services were called to Bridge Street, Lawrence, following reports of a crash.
Officers attached to Coffs/Clarence Police District attended and found a vehicle had left the roadway and crashed into a culvert.
The driver, a 70-year-old man, was assisted by passersby including an off-duty police officer who assisted with CPR prior to emergency services attending.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the man, however died at the scene.
A crime scene was established and investigations commenced into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
