A man has died following a workplace accident at Newcastle today.
About 9am today (Wednesday 5 July 2023), emergency services were called to a worksite on Jacaranda Drive, New Lambton Heights, following reports a man was trapped.
At the scene, a 20-year-old man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before he was taken to the John Hunter Hospital in a critical condition, where he later died.
Police from Newcastle City Police District attended and established a crime scene which has been examined by specialist police.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner. SafeWork NSW has been notified.
