Man dies in single-vehicle crash, NSW

A man has died following a single-vehicle crash in the Hunter Valley region yesterday.

About 7.10pm (Wednesday 6 July 2022), emergency services were called to Golden Highway, Sandy Hollow, following reports a vehicle had left the roadway and rolled before coming to a stop.

The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle died at the scene.

He is yet to be formally identified but is believed to be aged in his 40s.

Officers attached to Hunter Valley Police District established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

A report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
