A man will appear in court today after allegedly approaching two children in a shopping centre in Sydney’s east last week.
About 1.30pm on Wednesday 1 July 2020, police were told an unknown male approached two girls, aged 11, inside the centre on Oxford Street, Bondi Junction, and allegedly made inappropriate statements to them.
Police were alerted to the incident yesterday (Monday 6 July 2020) and commenced an investigation.
Following inquiries, about 6.50pm yesterday, a 53-year-old man was arrested at a hotel on Arden Street, Coogee.
He was taken to Waverley Police Station where he was charged with two counts of stalk/ intimidate intend fear physical etc harm (personal).
He was refused bail to appear at Waverley Local Court today (Tuesday 7 July 2020).
