A man is in a critical condition after being struck by a taxi in Sydney’s west.
At 12.20am (Thursday 6 June 2019), emergency services were called to Shepherd Street, Colyton, after a 25-year-old man was struck by a westbound taxi.
The man suffered serious head injuries and was conveyed to Westmead Hospital where he is understood to be in a critical condition.
A crime scene was established at the scene, which is being examined by forensic specialists.
The driver of the taxi, a 62-year-old man, was taken to Nepean Hospital for mandatory blood and urine tests, before being released pending further inquiries.
Investigations into the incident continue.
