Man injured during home invasion, NSW

An investigation is underway after a man was injured during a home invasion this morning.

About 8.45am today (Thursday 27 January 2022), emergency services were called to a home on Gilham Street, Castle Hill, following reports of a home invasion.

Officers attached to The Hills Police Area Command attended and located the occupant – a 55-year-old man – suffering a wound to his chest and is currently undergoing surgery for his injuries.

He was treated on scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken by Ambulance to Westmead Hospital, with non-life-threatening injuries.

A crime scene has been established and an investigation launched into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
