Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating after a man riding a skateboard was hit by a truck in Moe last night.
It is believed a truck and the skateboarder were both travelling east along Narracan Drive when the truck struck the man just after 7pm.
A man, who is yet to be identified, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries where he died a short time later.
The truck driver stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries.
