Man stabbed, another arrested, NSW

A man has been arrested after a man was stabbed in Sydney’s south-west.

About 10:50pm (Friday 25 January 2019), emergency services were called to Cornelian Avenue, Eagle Vale after reports of a stabbing.

On arrival police found a 23-year-old man with serious stab wounds to the leg, arm and chest and minor wounds to the face.

He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Liverpool Hospital in a serious but stable condition to undergo surgery.

About 11pm (Friday 25 January 2019), officers from Campbelltown Police Area Command arrested a man on Eagle Vale Drive, Eagle Vale.

He was taken to Campbelltown Police Station where he is assisting police with inquiries.
