Man stabbed at Hackham West, South Australia

Police are investigating a stabbing at Hackham West overnight.

Police and paramedics were called just before 1.30am on Wednesday 2 October to Amsterdam Road, Hackham West and found a man lying in the roadway. He had sustained stab wounds to the upper body and lower leg.

The 40-year-old man was taken to the Flinders Medical Centre with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Police, Southern District CIB and crime scene investigators attended the scene overnight. It is believed he was assaulted by two men. While the investigation is in its early stages, this is not believed to be a random incident.
