A man is in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in a serious condition after he was stabbed at West Lakes Shore earlier tonight.
Just after 9pm, on Saturday 29 February, police and ambulance crews were called to a home on Newporter Terrace, following reports of a man being stabbed.
On police arrival, the victim a 43-year-old man had already been driven to hospital by a friend.
Police located blood at the house and cordoned off the area, calling in Crime Scene Examiners.
The male suspect who is known to the victim, had left the home prior to police arrival.
Western District Police are currently investigating the incident and attempting to locate the suspect.
The victim’s condition is considered serious with multiple stab wounds, but not believed to be life threatening.
