Man threatened with knife during break-in in Zetland

Police are appealing for public information after a man broke into a home unit at Zetland last month.

About 5.45am on Saturday 25 January 2020, a man armed with a knife entered a unit on Joynton Avenue and threatened a 20-year-old man who had been sleeping in a bedroom.

The man stole items from the unit including a gaming console, laptop, tablet and a wallet before leaving the unit via O’Dea Avenue.

Officers attached to South Sydney Police Area Command attended and commenced an investigation.

Police have released a description of a man they believe can assist with the investigation.

He is described as being Caucasian in appearance. He was last seen wearing a dark green baseball cap, white t-shirt and green shorts.

The 20-year-old man was not injured.

As inquiries continue, any witnesses or any motorists who may have been in the area and have dash cam vision, are urged to come forward.
