Celebrating older Western Australians.
WA Seniors Week 2026 is celebrated from 8 – 15 November.
The week celebrates the role of older people, promotes positive ageing, and encourages participation in community life.
Metropolitan and regional areas will celebrate with hundreds of events and activities designed to connect older people with their community.
55 community organisations and local governments in metropolitan, regionals and remote areas of the State have been provided with State Government grant funding for Seniors Week.
Events include Memory Lane quiz nights in Geraldton and Bunbury, a free open day at Quinns Mindarie Surf Life Saving Club, a bingo night in Derby hosted by Marnin Bowa Dumbara Family Healing Centre, as well as a chair yoga session, martial arts, games, geocaching, and a community lunch in Denmark.
The annual ‘Have a Go Day’ is also being held at Burswood Park on Wednesday 11 November. This free event is coordinated by the Seniors Recreation Council of WA and runs from 9am to 3pm.
The Communities Seniors and Seniors Card teams will attend on the day providing information, resources, and replacement Seniors Cards.
The 2026 Seniors Card Guide will also be launched.
The full program is available on the Seniors Recreation Council of WA’s Have a Go webpage .
