Managing New Covid Restrictions For Businesses’ workshop

When the Queensland Government’s new restrictions begin on 17 December, will your business be ready?

To ensure the Toowoomba Region is prepared, Mayor Paul Antonio is encouraging business owners to participate in upcoming ‘Managing New COVID-19 Restrictions For Businesses’ workshops.

“When the new rules come into place, business owners and residents in the community will need to ensure they’re complying with the new restrictions,” Mayor Antonio said.

“Central to the changes are new restrictions for unvaccinated people which will impact businesses from a staffing perspective, as well as how they may need to interact with customers.

“The Managing New COVID-19 Restrictions For Businesses workshops aims to provide businesses with information that will assist them in successfully navigating the new restrictions.

“We will also be recording the two sessions, particularly for our regional businesses, who may not be able to attend on the day.”

Details of the two workshops are as follows:

When: Wednesday 1 December

Time: 3pm and 5.30pm (approximately one hour each)

Where: Oaks Toowoomba Hotel, Darling Downs Room

Livestream links: 3pm Session (https://vimeo.com/650176656) 5.30pm session (https://vimeo.com/650177193)

“This will be particularly useful for our community with the Queensland Small Business Commissioner coming along to speak about the impact of the new restrictions on businesses,” Mayor Antonio said.

“We will also have representatives from Queensland Police to speak about how the restrictions will be enforced and TAFE Queensland on strategies to manage difficult customers.

“This is a difficult time for many of our residents and the workshops are designed to make the transition as easy as possible for our business community.”
