Marine Search and Rescue Operation at Scarborough

The search for a missing teenager at Scarborough Beach will re-commence at first light this morning, 24 November 2020.

Just after 8pm last night, Monday 23 November 2020, Police received an emergency call regarding a person four youths in difficulty in the water at Scarborough Beach.

Information received was that three people made it to shore with assistance but a fourth person, a 16-year-old male teenager could not be located.

A marine search and rescue operation commenced.

Search assets being deployed again this morning include:

• Local police;

• Water Police;

• Volunteer Marine Rescue;

• Surf Lifesaving personnel;

• Police air wing; and

• RAC Rescue helicopter.
