Councillors Dallas Tout and Georgie Davies retained their positions of Mayor and Deputy Mayor of the City of Wagga Wagga respectively, at the mid-term Mayoral election held during Council’s Ordinary Meeting on Monday 7 September.
Councillor Dallas Tout was re-elected as Mayor and will lead Council through to the next NSW Local Government elections in September 2028.
Councillor Georgie Davies was re-elected as Deputy Mayor and will serve until the next election of Deputy Mayor in 12 months.
Mayor of the City of Wagga Wagga Councillor Dallas Tout said he is pleased to lead the Council for another two years.
“It’s always an honour to be elected to the position of Mayor and I thank the councillors for their support,” Cr Tout said.
“The Mayor and Deputy Mayor are representatives of the elected body, but the decision makers and the leaders of the city are the whole nine councillors.
“We will continue to focus on the city and the region, which is not just relationships within our local government area, it’s also relationships with other local governments around us and other regional organisations we’re part of.
“Councillor Davies and I have worked really well together, so I’m looking forward to working with her for the next 12 months.”

Deputy Mayor of the City of Wagga Wagga Councillor Georgie Davies echoed the sentiment and is proud to be re-elected to the position for the next 12 months.
“It’s an honour to be elected as Deputy Mayor again and to serve the community,” Cr Davies said.
“I was born in Wagga, live in Wagga, will live in Wagga for my whole life, so it’s such a wonderful opportunity to contribute to how the city grows and flourishes.
“The civic responsibility weighs on my shoulders and I show up to things and strive to be a positive role model for our community.”
“Councillor Tout and I have a great partnership so I know we will continue to lead the Council effectively.”
Councillor Tout will serve as Mayor of the City of Wagga Wagga until the NSW Local Government elections in September 2028, and Councillor Davies will serve as Deputy Mayor until another election is held in September 2027.
