Millions of dollars in cost-of-living relief has been delivered directly to Western Australians as the WA Government delivers practical support to families facing ongoing financial pressures.
More than one million Western Australian motorists have claimed their $100 Fuel Support Payment, which has paid more than $100 million to drivers, providing much needed relief at the bowser.
Reflecting the generosity of Western Australians, thousands of people have chosen to donate their $100 Fuel Support Payment to charity, with more than $600,000 going to Western Australians in need.
Since its launch on 20 July, the Western Australian Student Assistance Payment (WASAP) has paid more than $63 million directly to WA families, helping to ease school and household expenses.
More than 64 per cent or 328,900 eligible students have claimed their WASAP payment.
The payment provides Western Australian families with $150 for every Kindergarten and primary school student and $250 for secondary school students.
Other offers available on the ServiceWA app include the Treebate program, which allows gardeners to claim back the cost of buying a native tree to plant. The program has resulted in more than 11,000 trees planted.
More than 2,200 foster and grand carers have successfully applied for the new Carer Gold Card, providing additional cost of living support with electricity bills.
The direct payments are just part of a broader $1 billion cost-of-living support package designed to alleviate every day financial pressures on Western Australian families.
To further support families with the cost of living, public transport is free for students travelling to and from school and free for everyone on Sundays.
Public transport is cheaper and more accessible than ever, with people with a SmartRider able to travel anywhere on the network for as little as $2.80.
The fastest and most convenient way to claim the WASAP or $100 Fuel Support Payment is via the ServiceWA app. The app is free to use and support is available online, on the phone and in person at the ServiceWA Digital Assist Kiosks which are located throughout the State.

“Helping Western Australians with the cost of living has always been a priority for the Cook Labor Government.
“More than one million Fuel Support Payments claimed means more than $100 million is going back into the pockets of Western Australians to help ease the pressure at the pump.
“Right now, a family of four can claim up to $700 to help pay for petrol and school costs. That’s real cost-of-living support.
“On top of this, our free public transport measures and one zone fare cap are making a real difference to families’ everyday expenses.”

“In just three weeks, the Cook Labor Government has delivered more than $63 million to Western Australian families with school children through the WA Student Assistance Payment.
“We know that between books, uniforms, excursions and lunch boxes, the expenses of sending kids to school can add up quickly.
“I encourage all eligible families to make a claim by 25 September and access this important cost-of-living support to ensure their children have what they need to thrive at school.”
