Moderna Vaccine To Arrive In Territory This Week

NT Government

The Territory Labor Government is on track to have another tool added to the vaccine rollout with the first supplies of the Moderna vaccine to arrive this week.

Moderna is the third COVID-19 vaccine to be approved by the Therapeutic Goods Association and is available to everyone aged 12 and above from pharmacies across the Territory.

The Territory Government has worked closely with the Commonwealth to secure an allocation of the Moderna vaccine in line with population demographics.

More than 73% of Territorians have now received their first COVID-19 jab and 56% are fully vaccinated.

A significant increase in vaccination rates for Territorians aged 12-15 has been recorded with 20% of Territorians in this cohort who have now received one dose.

The COVID-19 vaccine is safe, free, effective and widely available at NT Health Clinics, Pharmacies, GP clinics and Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations.
