Mornington residents will have continued access to the local Centrelink Service Centre through until March 2021.
Services offered from the nearby Frankston, Rosebud and Hastings Service Centres remain unchanged.
Services Australia General Manager, Hank Jongen, said the servicing arrangements for the Mornington area will be closely reviewed.
“Between now and next March, we will carefully consider our service offer in the Mornington region to ensure it aligns with demand,” Mr Jongen said.
“As March approaches, we’ll inform the local community if there’s any change planned for the local service centre.
“In line with all our offices around the country, all service centres in the Mornington region will continue operating in strict adherence with the Department of Health’s COVID-19 guidelines,” Mr Jongen said.
“For those who would prefer to do more business from home, our Express Plus Apps and telephone self-service give people a way to get their business done quickly and easily at a time that suits them.”
The Mornington Service Centre is open Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
