A motorbike rider at Summerhill was detected speeding in excess of 60km/h above the limit this afternoon and had his bike confiscated.
Around 1.50pm, members of Northern Road and Public Order Services detected a yellow Ducatti motorbike travelling at 117km/h in the 50km/h zone on Stanley Street at Summerhill.
Police intercepted the motorbike adjacent to the Summerdale Primary School.
The 24-year-old male motorbike rider had his bike confiscated for 28 days and will be proceeding against for traffic related offences.
