Murder arrest, 2007 Airlie Beach cold case

Detectives from the Homicide Group will apply for the extradition of a Coffs Harbour man to face charges in Queensland for the murder of Jay Brogden, murdered in Airlie Beach in 2007.

The 32-year-old Coffs Harbour (formerly of Airlie Beach) has been today charged by New South Wales police in relation to other matters. Detectives will apply for his extradition to Queensland.

Jay Brogden, 21 was last seen at Cannonvale on Saturday April 21, 2007. Earlier this month, police launched a billboard on the side of the highway at Cannonvale to encourage anyone with information regarding the homicide to contact police.
