Nationally renowned musician Steph Strings and the Territory’s talented James Range Band are set to join Australian music icon Paul Kelly on stage at The Warm-Up in Alice Springs on Saturday, 14 October 2023.

Melbourne-based Steph Strings will perform in Alice Springs for the first time, bringing locals her distinct country pop and storytelling mix of music. Strings is keen to head to the Red Centre to perform after a successful season touring in the Northern Hemisphere. She was last in the Territory for BASSINTHEGRASS 2023.

The James Range Band hails from Utju, 250km west of Alice Springs, and is named after the beautiful mountain range surrounding the community. The band, made up of family members, sings in Pitjantjatjara and English, sharing songs about country and community.

The Warm-Up will take place from 2pm at ANZAC Oval, and will celebrate the region’s love of music, sport and community spirit, as well as one year to go until the return of the Alice Springs Masters Games from 12-19 October 2024.

The Warm-Up, which is free to attend, will also include the Red Centre Mile, which is a collaboration with the Alice Springs Running and Walking Club, and open to competitive and non-competitive runners. Attendees will also be able to get splashed in an array of colours at the Colour Frenzy fun run.
