The National Party’s 2026 list presents an energised team, with the skills and experience needed to fix the basics and build the future, National Party President Sylvia Wood says.
“Our 2026 list brings together experienced ministers, hardworking local MPs, and new talent with real-world experience, ready to deliver for Kiwis so they can continue to get ahead.
“National’s current team is already delivering, with sensible economic management getting price increases under control and growing the economy to create jobs and lift wages. At a time of global instability this experience matters.
“Joining this team is a suite of new talent, ready to advocate for their communities in Parliament.
“Among them is former Federated Farmers President Katie Milne who brings a depth of experience in agricultural policy. Executive Dale Stephens (Te Rarawa), who brings a wealth of experience in governance and as a community advocate, as well as entrepreneur Mahesh Muralidhar who has spent the last five years growing New Zealand businesses and start-ups.
“Young Pasifika lawyer Angee Nicholas joins them, along with Blair Cameron, an Ivy League graduate who went on to work at the World Bank and International Monetary Fund, and South Auckland operations co-ordinator and tutor for local parents, Rosemary Bourke.
“With recent selections across the country we also expect to welcome the likes of Emma Chatterton, an expert in social investment and education policy, into Parliament.
“The National Party was founded 90 years ago to represent New Zealand and New Zealanders. Our 2026 list continues our commitment to represent all Kiwis who share our values.
“A party vote for National is a vote for the strongest possible team with a focus on fixing the basics and building the future for all New Zealanders. In fact, it is only a party vote for National that will ensure the Government remains focused on growing the economy to increase wages, on restoring law and order, and on investing to the public services that Kiwis rely on.
“We cannot take this for granted. A vote for any other party is a vote for a Labour, Greens, Te Pāti Māori Government who have $18.2 billion of unfunded promises and can only pay for it by taxing you more, spending more, and borrowing more.
