National Tree Day is Sunday, 26 July, and once again Bass Coast Shire Council is taking the opportunity to celebrate the trees that make our region greener, healthier and more beautiful.
Last year, we celebrated one year of the Significant Tree Register, which was launched on National Tree Day in 2024. In just twelve months, the community helped identify more than 240 significant trees, including some remarkable specimens that have been part of the Bass Coast landscape for well over 100 years.
