Officers in Wodonga have caught a driver nearly seven times the legal limit this weekend.
Police on patrol were notified of an erratic vehicle travelling south on the Lincoln Causeway about 1.35pm on Saturday, 7 November.
It is understood the 2013 Hyundai i30 had a number of near misses with other vehicles on the road and collided multiple times with a nearby barrier.
When officers approached the Hyundai, which was stopped in the middle of the road near the Hume Freeway exit, they discovered the driver passed out at the wheel.
The 26-year-old Wodonga man returned a positive breath test, before being escorted back to a police station where he returned an alleged evidentiary reading of 0.347.
He was issued with an immediate driving ban and will be charged on summons with traffic offences.
