Stonnington Council has resolved to move forward with one of the streams of our new business support program for retail precincts. This stream is proposed to be implemented from 1 January 2024.
The business support stream takes the form of a special rate applied to commercial properties that, if declared, would be levied from 1 January 2024.
The first stage of implementing these special rates is an expression of interest (EOI) process that seeks to identify entities that want to work with Council on delivering the activities using special rate funding.
This EOI will open on 15 August 2024.
Entities that represent Stonnington’s major activity centres are encouraged to apply.
