On Friday 15 October, 300 new and upgraded commuter car spaces at Cardinia Road Station opened to the public, increasing the station’s parking capacity by over 50%.

Cardinia Road Station now boasts a total of 871 car spaces.

The car park also features new lighting, CCTV cameras, landscaping and connecting pathways to the station.

An additional 6 accessible parking spaces have also been built in the existing southern car park.

Works continue on the Henry and Bridge Road intersection, improving safety and traffic flow at the intersection.

The new car spaces have been built as part of the Car Parks for Commuters Program.

We removed the level crossing at Cardinia Road, Pakenham in December 2020 by building a new road bridge over the rail line.
